The Full Experience
Three days to discover everything Kampong Thom offers — ancient temples, sacred mountains, jungle forest trails, silk weaving villages, cooking, meditation, and real slow travel.
Ancient Civilization
Sambor Prei Kuk — Full Exploration
A deep two-hour exploration of all three temple groups with a specialist guide. Learn the history of Ishanapura, the Chenla Empire, and why these temples changed the course of Khmer architecture.

Prasat Andet — Hidden Temple
A rarely-visited 7th–8th century temple surrounded by rice fields — completely off the tourist trail. You'll likely have it entirely to yourself.
Homestay Check-in & Lunch
Check into Sambor Village Homestay. Home-cooked lunch prepared by the host family.
Photography Walk — Temple Forest
Return to the temples in the afternoon for the warm golden light. The forest shadows and brick textures are at their most dramatic.
Village Evening
Dinner with the homestay family. Sit on the veranda, listen to the evening, and go to bed early — tomorrow starts at sunrise.
Mountain, Forest & Silk
Phnom Santuk Sunrise Climb
Start climbing before sunrise. Reach the summit pagoda as the sun rises over the Cambodian plains — extraordinary light and total silence.

Prey Lang Forest Trail
Head to the edge of Prey Lang — Southeast Asia's largest lowland forest. Walk a 2-hour trail with a community forest monitor, learning about conservation, wildlife, and medicinal plants.
Baray Silk Weaving Village
Drive to Baray District. Visit a silk weaving family, see the natural dyeing process, and try your hand at the loom. Learn why Kampong Thom silk is prized across Cambodia.
Baray Silk Lodge Check-in
Check into the Baray Silk Lodge — a peaceful eco-lodge nestled among weaving communities, with bicycle rentals and a sky full of stars.
Lodge Dinner & Stargazing
Dinner at the lodge. With no light pollution in Baray district, the night sky is remarkable — bring a blanket and look up.
Meditation, River & Farewell
Forest Pagoda Meditation
A quiet morning at a forest pagoda. Sit with resident monks, learn a simple breathing meditation, and carry the stillness into the day.
Return to Town — Market Morning
Drive back to Kampong Thom town. Explore the morning market at its most lively — fresh produce, street snacks, Kuy Teav, and local vendors.

Cooking Class — Farewell Lunch
A 2-hour cooking class with a local family: amok, papaya salad, and sticky rice dessert. Then sit down and eat what you made.
Stung Sen Farewell Walk & Departure
One last riverside walk. Buy a few souvenirs — locally woven silk, palm sugar sweets, or handmade ceramics. Then board your bus or van onward.
Book at least a week in advance for the 3-day package — homestays, the silk lodge, and the forest guide all need advance arrangements.
The Prey Lang trail involves walking on uneven forest ground — closed-toe shoes and long trousers recommended (mosquitoes).
Day 1 afternoon and Day 2 sunrise are the two best photography moments — plan your battery charging accordingly.
Your visit directly supports community livelihoods — the forest monitors, homestay families, silk weavers, and cooking teachers all earn from responsible tourism.
