Common Questions
How far is Kampong Thom from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap?
Kampong Thom is 165km from Phnom Penh (2.5–3 hours by bus or private vehicle) and 148km from Siem Reap (2–2.5 hours). It sits directly on National Road 6, making it easy to include as a stop between the two cities.
What is the minimum group size?
Most programmes are priced for groups of 10 or more. Smaller groups (6–9 students) can be arranged with a small-group surcharge. We can also combine two smaller groups into one shared cohort.
Are the programmes available in Khmer?
Yes. All programmes are available fully in Khmer or as bilingual (Khmer + English) delivery. Guides are available in both languages, and all worksheets and materials can be provided in Khmer.
Can you arrange transport from Phnom Penh or Siem Reap?
Yes. We work with reliable coach operators for groups of any size. Return transport from Phnom Penh or Siem Reap can be included in the programme quote. Minivans are available for smaller groups.
Is the programme suitable for students with limited mobility?
The temple site is mostly flat and walkable. Phnom Santuk involves a mountain climb that may not be suitable for all students — we can substitute an alternative activity. Please let us know your group's requirements when booking.
Can the programme be linked to our curriculum?
Yes. We have designed activities to support IB, A-Level, Cambodian national curriculum, and university field study requirements. Share your learning objectives with us when enquiring and we will tailor the programme accordingly.
